Basic Sencha
We're rather proud of our Japanese tea selection, but admittedly, when new and fresh, they are probably on the expensive side - you do after all get what you pay for. We have been asked to stock a basic sencha, at a more basic price.
I can't deny that you lose out in the flavour profile, but hey, you can't have everything, and I admit, I am a bit of a tea snob!
This tea is definitely steamed, definitely aracha (not sorted to get rid of the stalks and stems) and if you brew it hot, then you do get the vegetal, seaweed flavours typical of Japanese green teas - definitely worth a try if you want to get into Japanese teas.
5g/130ml. 85 degrees - 2-3 minutes
