Frankie's Bom Dia Blend 250g
This is a blend created in collaboration with Frankie Off Grid (whose YouTube channel you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/@FrankieOffGrid).
We (Carissa and Iwan - Sian’s son :D) wanted to create a special coffee as many people said they enjoyed watching our calming videos about off grid life in Portugal with their morning brew.
Before we left North Wales, Dragon Roastery’s coffee was always a favourite, and we absolutely love this blend they masterfully created of Honduran and Guatemalan arabica beans and we hope you will love it too :)
Dragon Roastery are a small independent coffee roaster based on Anglesey in North Wales.
Tasting notes from Seibiant:
The first coffee in this blend is a delicious coffee from Honduras. These SHG (strictly high grown beans) are of a fantastic quality due to the high altitude they have been grown at. The higher the altitude the slower the coffee plant matures so the bean has been in its pulp for much longer and produces a fruitier flavour and tends to be more acidic. These have flavours of green apple, juicy apricots with the almond kernel giving way to a grape like sweetness.
The second coffee is a Guatemalan coffee, grown on the high slopes of the Huehuetenango region. These beans are bursting with delicious smooth, dark cocoa flavours and very sweet cherry aftertaste…this is a proper coffee which works brilliantly with or without milk. This coffee is roasted quite dark to keep the lovely cocoa flavours lingering.
The third coffee is from the same area, but is a Special Microlot, and is very much fruitier than the first Guatemalan.
All in all, this blend works brilliantly, no bitterness, but quite a sweet, fruity coffee, which certainly keeps me coming back for more. It works equally well with and without milk, and I would try it first without sugar, just in case you like its sweetness.
….
Select whether you would like your beans whole to grind yourself, or ground for your preferred brewing method.
