Monsooned Malabar
These beans undergo a unique process. Once the beans are harvested they are stored in open warehouses, which are subjected to the harsh winds and rains of the monsoons of the Malabar Coast region the beans swell in size, losing much of their acidity in the process.
The result is a heavy bodied coffee that displays a wonderfully mellow flavour, with aromas of chocolate, spice and nuts. We find that this is a ‘love it or hate it’ coffee.
